The Write Year

So this is the year my writing finally comes to the foreground. A quick glance over my blog for 2017 will take you 2 seconds (don’t do it, it’s not worth the time) to see I put up zip, zero, nada, a goose egg! Alright, so I did publish a few posts, but they were certainly nothing substantial, but just enough words on the screen to let you wonderful people know I hadn’t disappeared.

Before Sel embarks on her upcoming blogging adventure, my first instinct was to impart on her my advice about how to approach it. I know what you’re thinking,

“Mike, you haven’t reached 300 readers and your posts don’t get published elsewhere. You’re not exactly a blogging role model, are you?”

A fresh brew

To all those people who have been following my blog throughout the last 12 months, you are terrific and I can’t thank you enough! For those of you who have recently stumbled into my café, I hope you pull up a chair and stay for 2016.

Break through the blogger block!

Ideas for a new blog post can fly at us like a grade 5 hurricane. Fragments of thought swirl around in the air, and our minds leap up and swirl around with them. Eventually we land with dozens of fresh fragments tugging at our brain (in our hair, dangling off our arms, clinging to our back and so on…) and we’ll write about all of them. An enthusiastic whirlwind of scribbling (typing) and ink (pixels) follows!

As a writer? I’ve made it!

I declare I’ve made it as a writer. I’ve reached the zenith of my celestial writing sphere. The light at the end of my writing tunnel.
