6 months ago I made the decision to trial a life of not eating animals or animal-related products for a few weeks. No more meat, cheese, milk, honey and so on. After a few weeks, I realised the likelihood of reverting back was slim. And so it proved, the trial turned into a permanent change. So, how am I doing 6 months on?

About 8 months ago, Sel went vegan. She’d already cut down on meat prior to that, but she finally decided to do away with the dairy, eggs, honey and so on. Come November ’16, which was World Vegan Month (unofficially?), I decided to try it myself. I admit I’d had a head start. Most meals I eat at home are primarily vegetarian, and sometimes vegan anyway. The difference was that I always gravitated to a meat dish when we went out. Or at least something covered in cheese.
